Mountain Biking

Back to Top of List

Mountain biking is one of my favorite ways to fully embrace the vibrant spirit of this season in Park City, where a kaleidoscope of colors sets the stage for an unforgettable ride. Park City is the first Gold-Rated Ride Center by the International Mountain Biking Association—boasting 450 miles of true non-motorized singletrack trails! With a trail for every style of rider, beginners, and pros can revel in the thrill of riding through our scenic landscapes. Among my favorite leaf-peeping trails are Lost Prospector, Armstrong, Charlie's 9k, and Flagstaff Loop.

Not sure where to go? Book a guided tour with White Pine Touring or All Seasons Adventures. Both these outfitters offer half and full-day excursions, and your guide will be sure to point out the best views for leaf peeping as you shred our local dirt.

Explore the Chamber's mountain biking resources to gain a deeper understanding of what the best trails and areas are for your riding ability!

Fall is one of the absolute best times to hit the trails and go hiking! Park City's trail system leads you through breathtaking landscapes like pristine alpine lakes, aspen groves, and incredible mountain vistas. I can't recommend enough exploring the hiking trails off of Guardsman Pass like Charlies 9k and Bloods Lake for a true fall mountain experience. The red, yellow, and orange fall colors make it feel like you've stepped into a whole new world. And the best part? It's a short 15-minute drive from Main Street Park City!

Horseback Riding

Back to Top of List

Saddle up as fall in Park City brings forth the iconic adventure of trotting through golden aspens while on horseback. As you meander through the enchanting scenery, your heart will race with anticipation as you seek out views around every bend. Even if you have limited experience with horseback riding, fear not! Stables and guided tours are available, ensuring you get the most of Park City's equestrian opportunities.

Fly Fishing

Back to Top of List

Just a short drive away from downtown Park City, you'll find two of the most coveted fishing spots in the entire Rockies! Brace yourself for a fishing extravaganza as you sample some of Utah's best fisheries, including the Blue Ribbon Provo River, snaking its way through the picturesque Heber Valley and Provo Canyon. Farther north, the Weber River connects the Echo and Rockport reservoirs, offering another incredible fishing haven. When fall rolls around fly fishing season really kicks in as the water is cold and the river is lower. There is a posse of fly fishing guides in Park City that are itching to show you the best spots to fish. Sign up for a lesson and really nail down the art of the cast, 'cause let me tell you, from personal experience, it takes some serious skill.
