Park City was chosen as the host destination for the United States Olympic Committee at the 2017 Team USA Media Summit. Held on September 24-27, 2017 at Canyons Village in Park City, Utah, the Summit provides journalists from all over the world with access to over 100 hopeful U.S. Olympic athletes in all winter sports leading up to the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang.

The Olympics are in our state’s heritage. The 2002 Winter Olympic Games were held in Salt Lake City, Utah and brought about a new wave of recognition for our destination. Park City’s Utah Olympic Park was built for the Games and still serves a training center for Olympic athletes. In 2002 the park hosted the bobsleigh, skeleton, luge, ski jumping and Nordic combined events.
